A key brainstorming session held at Hikma on June 11th, led by HE Mr. Mazen Darwazeh, Chairman of the Jordan Japan Friendship Association (JJF), and organized by Vice Chairman Arch. Shifa Zghoul, focused on enhancing private sector engagement in Jordan's participation at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
The session brought together key stakeholders from the Jordanian private sector to explore avenues for increased collaboration with their Japanese counterparts. Discussions centered on expanding trade and investment ties with Japan, identifying opportunities for Jordanian companies to showcase their products and services at the Expo pavilion, and exploring potential partnerships with Japanese businesses.
The formation of a dedicated Private Sector Advisory Committee proved a significant outcome of the session. This Committee will serve as the go-to-place for Jordanian and Japanese businesses seeking to explore collaboration opportunities related to Expo 2025 and beyond. The Committee will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting both Jordanian and Japanese businesses, facilitating market entry for Japanese companies seeking to expand into Jordan, and creating a platform for Jordanian businesses to thrive in the Japanese market.
Recognizing the JJF's pivotal role in fostering strong economic ties between Jordan and Japan, the session acknowledged the Association's position as a bridge for all businesses and investments in the private sector between the two countries, facilitating collaboration and fostering stronger economic ties.
